About AlphaI mentioned the Alpha Program several times and there may be people who do not know about this program. Alpha is a ten session program that includes video presentations and group discussions to present the basic facts about Christianity.In the usual process a group gathers and begins with a dinner, or some other form of hospitality. They will then view the video for the session. Following the Video Presentation the group can discuss what they have seen. A facilitator will guide the discussion and lead the group through the materials. If the group desires there is a time for prayer and then the group plans the next meeting (date and time is confirmed), Between the sessions individuals review the information in their journals. After the first session, each succeeding session begins with a review and comments about the last topic. The group may decide to have a "retreat experience" and cover several sessions over a weekend or a day long retreat. This is an excellent way for Christians to review what they learned in Sunday School and consider the facts of their faith as adults. More Information about Alpha |
