1. Will people be assigned to attend the church or mission in the area in which they live? NO! If you live east or south and wish to drive to St. Dunstan’s you are encouraged to continue to do so. Should there be convenience in attending services at one of the other churches from time to time that also is not only acceptable but encouraged.
2. How much does it cost to start a Parochial Mission? There is no cost, except for the time and effort of those people involved. Currently we own the Alpha Program and so it is just a matter of using what we already have in a new way.
3. What about ministry of the church and the time the priest will be away from St. Dunstan’s? The Alpha Program time commitment is three hours one night a week and when we begin to have regular worship that will be scheduled at a time when we are not having celebrations at St. Dunstan’s.
4. Beyond the benefit of having more who share our faith and practice in the immediate area, parishes that start Parochial Mission also find themselves growing as the Spirit encourages growth in the existing parish.
